WHAT TYPES OF PROGRAMS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for variety...not the same old topics covered on Talk Radio. If it's interesting to adults 35-64, who own their own homes, own businesses, and live and work here in Tampa Bay, we're interested. Salem has in place a strict "Advertising Policy" so there are some topics and shows we won't accept, but generally, if your business falls in these categories, we want to talk to you:

Healthy Living - Travel - Home Repairs & Technology - Business and Finance - Children & Seniors - Pet Issues - Inspiration & Motivation - Recreational Activities & Sports - Environment & Ecology - Healthy Cooking and Eating Right - Local Politics.

By owning and hosting your own radio show on Talk Radio 860 WGUL, you'll gain recognition as an authority in your particular field. Listeners trust our hosts and respond to the commercials that air in our programs.

WHAT YOU'LL GET AS A CLIENT / SHOW HOST
Several other radio stations in town will sell you blocks of time, we work closely with you to make sure that yours is the best radio show that it can be, and that it's an effective advertising vehicle for your and your clients.

* An hour-long show (consisting of 50 Minutes - the station retains 10 minutes for News, Weather, station promos and it's own commercials)

* Your show will be streamed on our website at 860wgul.com at no extra cost.

* An experienced Show Producer / Board Operator who'll handle all the technical aspects of your show.

* We'll build a custom "clock" for your show so that it will have a professional sound to hold listeners and work for you and your clients.

* We provide ALL associated production needs of the show... including Show Opens, Show Returns etc.

* Your show will have a professional sound to it and will be consistent with the other professionally produced shows on the station.

* Our "station voice" is Randy Brown and is heard on Salem stations across the country. All voice work is provided at no additional charge.

* Commercial Production. We cover all production costs for YOUR commercials that air during your show.

* In addition to our own internal production department, we also participate with other Salem stations across the country utilizing a "voice talent pool" to give your commercials a fresh, unique sound. If you want to air the commercials that we produce on other stations, a nominal fee will apply.

* You'll be listed in our Program Schedule with host name, show name and show time and show description.

* We'll provide a FREE link to your website and phone/e-mail contact information.

* We'll provide a FREE podcast of your show on our website, and we'll provide a FREE MP3 file of your program that can be used for podcasting on YOUR website

* We'll provide a FREE listing of YOUR clients on our Featured Advertisers page.

* You'll receive FREE 30 Sec Show Promos aired throughout the day to drive listeners to your show (your contract will include 20 per week for the first 30 days, then 10 per week after that) all at our expense.

* You'll receive FREE inclusion in our unique "Shared Promos." We take sound clips from various weekend shows and create a "shared promo" that will spotlight your show along with other weekend hosts.

* If you're considering a remote broadcast, a modest fee is charged for the engineering and promotion work necessary to make the remote a success.

* We can accommodate either a Live or Pre-recorded Shows

SHOULD I HOST A LIVE OR PRE-RECORDED SHOW?
There are several options to consider.
... for a LIVE show:

1. You can host the show LIVE from our fully digital studios in Tampa.
2. With special arrangements a remote studio in Sarasota is can be made available.
3. If you have ISDN, Comrex Access or Comrex Hotline/Bluebox capabilities, you can host the show from your home studio.

... for a PRE-RECORDED SHOW:
1. You can deliver a fully produced show to our in-house FTP server.
2. We can pre-produce and pre-record the entire show for broadcast.

There is NO ADDITIONAL fee for airing a recorded program.

HOW DO I PAY FOR IT?
This is THEE big question. The answer depends on what YOU are trying to accomplish.

* You can host your own show as a part of the marketing and promotion of your own business and you can place commercials for your product or service inside your show. In this manner, you can treat the expense as part of the regular advertising budget of your business.

* There is another approach... you can go out and sell commercials and sponsorships to other businesses. Commercials for their products and services will air in your show and the revenue you generate will underwrite and offset the cost of the program.

Our broadcast agreements call for payment in advance, via credit card or check... OR... advanced monthly billing with approved credit.
